Week 21: March Madness

Not much news to report this week. It was a "routine" week. Elder Hadlock went to Zone Conferences on Tuesday and Thursday to inspect cars and do some safety training. He was grateful that it was not raining on those mornings.  We delighted in seeing blue sky a couple of days this week.

We spent our Preparation Day doing some much needed cleaning, shopping for groceries, paying bills and just kind of catching up. We did enjoy watching the BYU Women's Basketball team play San Diego. When BYU is playing at home, we can usually watch the games live on BYUTV.

We will miss all the "March Madness" with college basketball; perhaps we'll catch a few games.  Instead we are participating in a mission "March Madness". President and Sister Weaver have instituted a March Madness study program giving the young missionaries specific reading assignments in Preach My Gospel. They actually started three weeks ago and will finish on March 17.

We decided to join in on the challenge. The assignment for Week 1 was to read Chapters 1 & 6 and complete a few assignments. Week 2 included Chapters 2 & 8, and for Week 3 we've been reading Chapters 4 & 5.  It's been a lot to read and study, but we have learned a lot and are enjoying a different focus on the scriptures that are suggested in PMG.

So ... no photos this week. No travels, nothing exciting. Extra time spent on March Madness has been deeply satisfying and worthwhile. We would again invite all to give attention to Preach My Gospel.

I guess I could post a photo of Elder Ben Hadlock. His companion, Elder Webster is on his right. I don't know the other Elders.

Then in the other photo I think Elder Hadlock is trying to do a Joseph Smith pose. --- March Madness for sure?!!!

(May we just say thank you to all who are encouraging, supporting, and praying for Elder Ben Hadlock)

Final Thought: It's hard to be "burned out" if you've never been on fire.  --- Catch the fire!
